I lie captive, perhaps to this season or more so, to my genetics, my timing, my survival.
The cool or occasional freeze causes pause - I want, the rest I need.
This last season was wonderful, the colorful and rich foliage, the blooms and the reproduction, and future of new off-spring. This time was rewarding, yet exhausting.
Each new day meant so much more. And, come Spring or late Winter, it will again.
Now, I rest.
I'll be back soon, full of vigor and color and those blossoms we both love.
Afford me my respite as you, and I, will not-far-off, enjoy me even more.
You care for me...I live for and love you.
For now, I rest.
Beautiful!
