Coronavirus, These Times, The Fever
I can't imagine what many of you are enduring in the midst of these times or what the virus has meant to you, your family members, other loved ones or even an acquaintance you cherish. Your lifestyle, security or anxiety?
As much as I am a lover of people and an uber social animal, most of what I do deals with much time spent hands-on with plants, trees and shrubs. These small and large wonders of nature gain most of my attention throughout my workday - fantastic relationships.
As I am out doing what I do I feel secure and I am observing the safe distances with customers and most everyone else, wearing a mask whenever I need to enter any enclosed public place.
I am also spending a limited amount of time with anyone and only spending time with those closest to me - perhaps not the safest practice, but we somewhat check one another for symptoms.
Cooking, which I love, has taken on a new face and although, now more a necessity, it is a love and a few new loves (dishes).
Unfortunately, this is pollen season and although I have no allergies for which I am aware, I do get the occasional sniffle or sneeze. This is expected, but it does make one pause and consider, reconsider, in light of the virus.
When such occurs, we experience this or those around us do so. We, my closet friends and family, usually ask our self or others to monitor their temperature - check for a fever.
In light of this, I was reminded of a wonderful song by Peggy Lee, Fever. It's a killer song where she is only accompanied by a stand-up bass and perhaps a tom-tom drum - it works, well.
In these times, we can endure most anything, hopefully this virus; yet, our anxiety may cause the most injury.
Have fun with what you can, spend more time with your family and get out and about on your property. Laugh, play, work, enjoy.
With these wonderful spring days, lower temps and humidity, which we haven't experienced in well over three years (could end tomorrow - doesn't appear so.), my property looks better than it has ever.
Here is the Fever video.
Strive, laugh, move forward, conjure up more laughter.
Act is if you don't know your future, because you don't.
But, keep workin' at it.
It gets much better.
Have fun!
