Look Upward...Take Comfort

Every reason and everyone to live for, completely, fully, with purpose.

Yet, alone, distracted, dismayed. I was fraught, disgusted and disturbed along the well-planned path I had laid.

A wonderful course and journey I set before me only to be hampered and astrayed by me, yes me...the mindful, willing, talented and intelligent orchestrator of my destiny.

So, I thought. I would control it all, do it all, accomplish it all...just me.

Rewards are limited, if not empty, if only for themself, one's self.

A light had shone on me at birth, as my mother has told many...she said I brought such light, and laughter.

Years become decades, cloudy and dark becomes darker, and that glimpse of light fades unless you look up and, once again, see that light, that light of birth and youth, the light of God, the life of Jesus.

We are all children and except for the responsibilities and trials of life, we should remain, continue to be children.

Laugh, be the life.

The life you wish.

Be your best friend, not your worst enemy.

Look upward, relax, breathe and take comfort.

We are not alone, at all.

The preceding was inspired by the funeral service for Pat Hutto Dukes and a beautiful poem she had written, which I will post soon.
