Foliage: Green, Apricot Color Early Spring

Sunlight: Part Sun, Filtered Shade, Shade

Water/Soil: Moist, not soggy/well-drained. Water weekly or more often in extreme heat.

Mature Height: 2 to 5'   Mature Spread: 3 to 5'

(2) Miniature Gardenia - Gardenia jasminoides 'Radicans'
Outside of Japanese Holly Fern

Evergreen

Blooms: Summer

Sunlight: Partial Shade to Full Sun

Water/Soil: Moist, not soggy/well-drained. Water weekly or more often in extreme heat.

Mature Height: 12 to 18"   Mature Spread: 2 to 3'


(2) Hosta (Variegated green and yellow variety)
Outside of Miniature Gardenia

Herbaceous Perennial

Blooms: Tubular whitish blooms above the plant at varying heights. Prized for foliage which is  usually of green, yellow and/or blue tones - many species are variegated.

Sunlight: Mostly shade to part sun, while some species thrive in full sun.

Water/Soil: Moist, not soggy/well-drained. Water weekly or more often in extreme heat.

Mature Height: .5 to 2'   Mature Spread: Up to 4'



(2) Coral Bell - Heuchera (Brightest color available locally)
Outside of Hosta 

These wonderful plants used to come in a few drab colors, with small and insignificant blooms. Now they come in a whole rainbow of colors, with some varieties grown specifically for their masses of flowers.

Blooms: White flowers on dark stems throughout the season - late Spring to Summer

Sunlight: Full Shade to Partial Sun

Water/Soil: Moist, not soggy/well-drained.

Mature Height: Roughly 10 to 18"   Mature Spread: 8 to 12"

Blooms: Late Winter - Small white flower umbels followed by black berries.

Sunlight: Full Shade to Partial Sun

Water/Soil: Moist, not soggy/well-drained. Water weekly or more often in extreme heat.

Mature Height: 5 to 8'  Mature Spread: 5 to 8'
